101 Ukrainian female defenders have been killed since the start of the full-scale war

101 Ukrainian female defenders have been killed since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, and more than 50 are considered missing, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov said during the Ukrainian Women’s Congress.

“About 5,000 women are directly involved in the hostilities. 101 female servicemen died. We count 50 as missing and more than 100 wounded. 50 women have already been awarded state awards and have the title of Heroes of Ukraine. Unfortunately, posthumously,” the minister said.

According to him, 59,786 women are serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine now: 41,000 are military personnel, and, accordingly, almost 19,000 are civilian workers.
