12,000 square kilometers of Kharkiv region need demining. The Russian army mined the territory of Kharkiv region more intensively than Kyiv region, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

“Mining with anti-personnel mines is very common, some areas are simply littered with anti-personnel mines along the roads — it causes difficulties for the movement of equipment and people. Demining is now a key task of the State Emergency Service,” Roman Prymush, Deputy Head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, said.
