13 Ukrainian national parks and 10 natural reserves are under the Russian control

In Ukraine, 13 national parks, 8 nature reserves, and 2 biosphere reserves are under the control of Russian troops. At the same time, there are 4 national parks and 4 nature reserves in the de-occupied territories, the Ukrainian Nature Conservation Group reports.

“This year, the protected territories of Ukraine are going through the most difficult times for the whole day of Ukraine’s independence. 13 national parks, 8 nature reserves, and 2 biosphere reserves are occupied by Russian invaders,” the message reads.

Environmentalists note that many national park workers are now protecting Ukraine in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There are tragic losses.

Many national parks in the “prosperous territory of Ukraine” host a lot of refugees from the east of Ukraine.
