13-year-old girl from Sumy region made 500 staples of rebar for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Metal staples are needed to enforce dugouts. Ukrainian defenders asked the volunteer craftsmen to make accessories, and not only masters responded to the request but also 13-year-old schoolgirl Kateryna Hryniova, says Serhii Doluda, head of the Bilopillia volunteer center.
She worked together with the craftsman and family friend — Oleh. The girl bent the rods, and the man sharpened the ends. Kateryna fixed the metal rod in a vise, then bent it. She made accessories for two days for several hours in a row. Working with steel rebars of 10mm in diameter was not easy, the girl says.
When asked what she plans to do during her summer vacation, the girl answers: “Continue to help soldiers.”
