148 children have been already killed by Russian invaders in Ukraine
According to the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Liudmyla Denisova, since the launch of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, 148 children have been killed and 232 wounded in hostilities.
“As of 8:00 on March 31, 2022, according to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations and other sources that need verification, 148 children have died and 232 children have been injured since the Russian Federation invaded Ukraine,” she said.
It is currently impossible to establish the exact number of children killed and injured amid active hostilities in Ukrainian settlements.
According to juvenile prosecutors, most children were injured in the regions of Kyiv (69), Donetsk (57), Kharkiv (53), Chernihiv (41), Mykolaiv (30), Luhansk (30), Zaporizhia (22), Kherson (27), the city of Kyiv (16), as well as Sumy region (16) and Zhytomyr region (15).
