17-year-old Ukrainian became the world’s best student according to the Global Student Prize

Ihor Klymenko from Ukraine is named the world’s best student according to the Global Student Prize.

He has developed a drone that detects landmines. As a part of the prize, Ihor received $100,000 for making a real impact on learning, the lives of his peers, and society at large. The teenager was selected from more than 7,000 students to win a prestigious prize.

Ihor is a student at the faculty of physics and mathematics at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
