20,000 foreign volunteers join Ukrainian forces in war with Russia

Around 20,000 people from 52 countries have already volunteered to fight in Ukraine, where they will serve in a newly created international legion, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on television. 3,000 of them are Americans, among them veterans of the armed forces.
Foreign volunteers will be able to obtain Ukrainian citizenship if they want to, First Deputy Interior Minister Yevhen Yenin said.
