2,500 Ukrainians remain in Russian captivity

Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk, stated during the interview with BBC that Russia holds 2,500 Ukrainians in captivity, including civilians.

Vereshchuk also highlighted that there were many women among the captives.

“Women need to be rescued, they are treated terribly. Russians mock them, they beat and torture our women,” stated Ukraine’s Minister.
