300 pairs of shoes lined up on Danube bank in Budapest, to commemorate Ukrainians who died in the shelling of the Mariupol theater

The performance took place near the memorial “Shoes on the banks of the Danube”, which commemorates the Hungarian Jews ruthlessly killed by the Nazis. Before the murder, they forced people to take off their shoes.

“Today, next to the bronze sculpture appeared 300 pairs of worn shoes. In memory of at least 300 women, children and elderly people who were killed by a Russian aerial bomb thrown by savages on the shelter at the Dramatic Theatre in the center of Mariupol,” – said Ukraine’s Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba.
