30,000 Ukrainians come back home every day — UN
More than 870,000 people who fled abroad since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, have now returned to Ukraine, UN humanitarians said.
According to the UN aid coordination office, 30,000 people are crossing back into Ukraine every day. The recent returnees reportedly include women with children and older persons, compared to mostly men at the beginning of the escalation.
Nearly five million people have fled Ukraine for 50 days since Russia’s invasion had begun, the UN Refugee Agency reports.
