36 Ukrainian defenders and 1 civilian returned to Ukraine from Russian captivity

Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets has reported that 36 Ukrainian defenders and one civilian were released from Russian captivity on Nov. 23, 2022. Among the released are some of the Azovstal defenders, as well as national guardsmen who were captured at the Chornobyl NPP in the early days of the invasion. In total, 22 national guardsmen, 8 border guards, 4 Navy servicemen, and one member of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were freed. Unfortunately, the released civilian has had to have his leg amputated.
