40 days have passed since the terrorist attack by russian invaders in Olenivka
On the night of July 29, 2022, an explosion destroyed a former penal colony in the village of Olenivka in Donetsk region. The Russian army controls the facility, where the Ukrainian military evacuated from the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol were held. Many prisoners of war were killed or seriously injured because of the explosion.
According to Ukrainian intelligence, mercenaries from PMC “Wagner” killed Ukrainian prisoners at Olenivka. The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets, believes that Russia will invite representatives of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross to the location where captured “Azovians” were executed in the colony in Olenivka, only after covering up all traces of the crime.
