40,000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

More than 40,000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Commander of the Joint Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Serhiy Nayev, announced, Ukrinform reports.

“More than 40,000 women are currently serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in military positions. 8,000 of them are officers,” he said.

According to Nayev, currently, more than 5,000 women are in the areas of active hostilities. Among them are commanders of platoons, vehicles, and UAV units, as well as snipers.
