41,000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Forty-one thousand women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Minister of Defense of Ukraine Oleksii Reznikov stated on Dec. 26, 2022. Five thousand of them are directly involved in the fighting.

Also, another 19,000 women are civilian workers and work for the army.

“Ukraine has a strong indicator in the number of women in the Armed Forces, even among NATO member states. In the ranks of the Armed Forces — 9% are women,” added Oleksii Reznikov.
