42,000 women serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Currently, 42,000 women are serving in the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and 5,000 women are on the frontline, according to the Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar. “Today, 42,000 female military serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and 60,000 together with civilian workers. Of these, 5,000 are on the frontline. Unfortunately, 107 women were killed and injured,” she noted. “Ukrainian women defend the country just as men do,” Maliar added.
