According to the OHCHR, as of May 16, 2022, Russia’s war against Ukraine has killed at least 3,752 civilians and wounded at least 4,062 since February 24, 2022.

Most of the civilian casualties recorded were caused by explosive weapons with a wide impact area, including shelling from heavy artillery and multiple launch rocket systems, missile- and airstrikes.
