86% of Ukrainian military were physically tortured in Russian captivity

Most of the Ukrainian defenders released from Russian captivity declared that they had been tortured by the Russians, stated Ukraine’s Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets in his interview with Ukrainska Pravda. “This, by the way, was established not only by us, but also by the international human rights mission of the United Nations. They have approximately the same numbers,” noted Lubinets. He did not specify the kinds of torture due to security concerns.
