95% of Ukrainians want Ukraine to become a fully functioning democracy

For 95% of Ukrainians it is very important that Ukraine becomes a fully functioning democracy, the National Democratic Institute (NDI) has reported in its latest survey.

It is noteworthy that this figure is almost the same in different regions of Ukraine. Therefore, it is 96% for West of Ukraine, and 94% for the North/Center, South and East of Ukraine.

Within the last eight months, the number of Ukrainians who support the functioning of Ukraine as a democratic society has increased by almost a quarter. If in December 2021, 76% supported Ukraine to become a fully functioning democracy, then in August 2022, the figure went up to 95%.
