A 23-year-old actor from Kyiv created a Telegram channel with fairy tales for Ukrainian children who are in bomb shelters

23-year-old actor Maksym Yakovlev founded the Telegram channel “Pavlusha and Yava” with fairy tales and lullabies for children in the bomb shelter.
“My wife and I live in Kyiv, near Boryspil, we heard explosions well on the morning of February 24, 2022. The first night we spent in a shelter. There were two girls aged nine. One said with a smile, “Marianka, if the bomb arrives now, I’ll go to heaven, and you’ll go to hell.” In the evening I stood and looked at the sky. I realized that I wanted to speak to children because if I’m scared, how do they feel?” Maksym said.
The Telegram channel quickly gained popularity, and famous actors began to join the project.
Meanwhile, parents of children leave a lot of feedback about the channel. Maksym said that messages of gratitude came from all over Ukraine. Here are some of them: “Thank you, for the first time since the beginning of the war our child fell asleep normally under your lullaby,” “I am a soldier from the Armed Forces. I had 2 hours to rest, but I couldn’t sleep until I listened to your fairy tale.”
