A comic book about besieged Mariupol based on real people’s stories was created in Ukraine

Inker’ social painting magazine and ‘UA comix’ publishing house have created a comic book collection of real stories of people who managed to leave the besieged Mariupol.

The collection includes four graphic stories: “The Doctor,” “The Road from Hell and Back,” “Saved by the Sea,” and “Drama Theater.”

Each part of the painting is made in the original style: each has a separate screenwriter and artist. Screenwriters Volodymyr Kuznetsov, Yarko Filevych, Oleksii Chornyi, and artists Zakhar Polishchuk, Natalia Tarasenko, Maksym Solntsev, and Yarko Filevych worked on the comic book.

“These are all real stories told by real people,” they say in the preface to the first issue of the magazine.
