A doctor from Mariupol, who remained at work from the first day of the war, died due to Russian shelling and was buried by his colleagues in the courtyard of the hospital

Anatoly Kazantsev headed the Mariupol Regional Children’s Infectious Diseases Clinic and was a doctor with 40-years of experience. He didn’t leave his workplace and patients for a single day and died at work.
Elena Zelenska, the first lady of Ukraine, stresses: “Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, six doctors were killed and more than 13 hospitals destroyed. The Russian attackers are doing this on purpose, as they are killing civilians. But while they sow death, doctors like Anatoly Borisovich continue to defend life.”
