About 4,000 Ukrainian libraries are under Russian occupation — First Lady of Ukraine

Four thousand Ukrainian libraries are located within the borders of the Russian-occupied Ukrainian territories, announced the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska.

“Russia wants to destroy our culture by destroying everything Ukrainian writers poured their souls into. It [Russia] destroys it [culture] physically,” she said.

Four public libraries have been destroyed, and more than 50 are damaged.
