The presentation took place during Penn’s third visit to the country during the full-scale war.
Ukrainian President, in turn, presented Penn with a Ukrainian Order of Merit to thank him for his support and significant contribution to the popularization of Ukraine in the world. The actor and director has been a vocal supporter of Ukraine since the full-scale war started.
During the actor’s visit to Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Sean Penn also visited the Walk of the Brave on Constitution Square. A name plaque of Sean Penn is now placed on the alley. His name will stand next to the list of many world leaders who have helped Ukraine during the war.
