After 81 years, in Ukraine, in the center of Europe, executions and mass burials happened again

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal made a statement on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Babyn Yar massacre.

“During World War II, Babyn Yar in Kyiv became the site of a massive tragedy. Eternal memory to the victims of the Babyn Yar tragedy. Eternal memory to all those innocently killed,” stated Ukrainian PM.

“It seemed that this horror remained forever in the past. But after 81 years, in Ukraine, in the center of Europe, it happened again. Executions, mass burials…” Shmyhal said.
