Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs criticized claims about saving Putin’s face in the war in Ukraine.

“It was Russia that attacked Ukraine, it is Russia that must end the war. All the talk about face-saving, concessions, and off-ramps for Putin are both immoral and irrational. Ukrainians are fighting the just war, it is duty of the world to help them and not to distract them,” he wrote on Twitter.
