Almost $2 mln donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine: How KOLO Fund works as a startup

Thermal imagers supply for the amount of almost a quarter of a million euros, a batch of Ukrainian surveillance drones “Leleka 100” for €130 000 and Punisher for €100 000 is just a part of acquisitions to support Armed Forces of Ukraine made by KOLO Fund, organized by volunteers from the tech industry.
The fund was created by a small group of IT industry executives. When the war started, it turned out that volunteering together was more effective than doing it individually. The main idea of the founders was to unite one thousand people who could donate at least 200 ₴ to The Armed Forces of Ukraine every day. The goal seemed unattainable, but the KOLO team did it in three days. Now the number of patrons is more than 1200, which means 7.2 million donations every month.
