Almost 26,000 books for Ukrainian refugee children have already been published in five European countries
The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine states that 25,716 books for children of Ukrainian refugees have already been published in five European countries.
Because of the Russian aggression, many Ukrainian families were forced to leave the country to protect their children from explosions and shootings by the invaders. They often left their homes with only the necessities. But children remain children. They need to play, study, read. We must not lose touch. Books in Ukrainian will help to preserve it, and reading will contribute to the psychological support of children in these difficult times,” said the press service of Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine Oleksandr Tkachenko.
It is noted that with the support of the Ukrainian Institute of Books and the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine, books are available in Norway, Sweden, Lithuania, Poland and Ireland.
