American singer Suzanne Vega records a song about the city of Mariupol

American singer Suzanne Vega recorded a touching song about the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. It is called ‘Last Train From Mariupol.’

The song was written in response to the horrors of the ongoing full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.

“The song came from all the images we were seeing on the news, especially at the beginning of the war in Ukraine in February,” said the singer.
