Art in a time of war: Ukrainian artist paints anti-tank hedgehogs in Kyiv

Ukrainian painter Varvara Shulga found a way to decorate the anti-tank hedgehogs, which had been installed in Kyiv to defend the city.
The artist decided to paint them with Petrikivsky painting — a traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style, reports The Village Ukraine.
“When I paint anti-tank hedgehogs, I combine the horror of war, which represents this protective structure, with the greatness of Ukrainian culture. Ukrainians have to defend our incredible culture,” the artist explains.
