AS Roma released special scarves in support of Ukraine
AS Roma, in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency, released a special scarf in support of Ukraine. Everybody could buy it at the stadium during the Roma v. Juventus game. The UNHCR will receive the proceeds to purchase and ship power generators to Ukraine.
Also earlier, during the Serie A match against Atalanta, the club wore a special patch on their shirts featuring the UNHCR logo and a heart in the colors of the Ukrainian flag — to raise awareness of the ongoing humanitarian crisis the victims of war are currently suffering.
These shirts will subsequently be put up for auction, and all proceeds will be donated to UNHCR to help young Ukrainian refugees.
The club has also delivered an initial donation of 2000 winter clothing items for newborns, desperately needed in the current circumstances, along with a further 1000 such items for younger children.
