At least 5 million people in Ukraine have lost their jobs because of the ongoing hostilities, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Tetyana Berezhna, stated at the Polish-Ukrainian Economic Forum during the debate on social policy and challenges in the context of the war in Ukraine. — Ukrinform reports citing the press service of the Ministry of Economy.

“The war is destroying the labor market of Ukraine. The fighting continues, where 10 million people have been employed. At least 5 million people have lost their jobs. Hundreds of workers were killed in the fighting. About 7 million people have already left the country because of the hostilities. The unemployment rate has increased dramatically,” Berezhna noted.
