Beatles Statue clad in Ukrainian clothing ahead of Eurovision
The Beatles statue in Liverpool has been dressed in traditional Ukrainian clothing for filming ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest, BBC reports.
The figures of Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr, and John Lennon walking together have been draped with white vyshyvankas in Pier Head, Liverpool. Vyshyvanka is a kind of traditional clothing in Ukraine. Every Ukrainian region has its particular pattern of vyshyvanka. Moreover, colors and their combinations also have a coded meaning.
