Belarus deploys extra electronic reconnaissance systems at Ukraine’s border
Belarusian forces are hardening positions within border checkpoints and deploying additional electronic reconnaissance systems within the areas bordering Ukraine, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
Previously, Alexander Lukashenko, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus, has suggested that Belarusian troops may have to fight for the west of Ukraine so that it was “not chopped off by the West.”
Earlier, the Belarusian government extended the military training exercise of the Belarusian Armed Forces near the Ukrainian border and not far from other Western countries.
Lukashenko has also announced the creation of a new operational command for the armed forces near the border with Ukraine, the purchase of Russian S-400 and Iskander mobile short-range ballistic missile systems, and even the creation of a “people’s volunteer corps.”
