Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, New York, will be renamed as Ukrainian Way

“On July 14, 2022, the New York City Council approved a bill to rename Brighton Beach Avenue and Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn as Ukrainian Way,” Permanent Representative of Ukraine in the United Nations Sergiy Kyslytsya said on Twitter.

Brighton Beach is a New York neighborhood where residents from Russia and a slew of former Soviet Union countries mostly live.
