British metal processing plant raises funds for Ukraine by producing blue and yellow sunflowers

In England, a metal processing plant has launched a new product to support Ukraine. The production of gutters and shutters is now stamping blue and yellow sunflowers. And it gives all the money from their sale to the needs of Ukraine.

Maksym Panchenko, a native of Donetsk region, has been working at this plant for several years. It was his initiative to establish sunflower production in support of Ukraine.

“The company said that I can use everything [all equipment] I want, I stay after work and make them two or three hours every day. And on the weekend another 4-5 hours,” Maksym shared.

Maksym said that he uses for making flowers the remains of raw materials, which would have been used for scrap metal anyway. But sunflower production is quite costly in terms of electricity consumption, as it is all welding work and the use of a huge furnace. The plant, though, closes its eyes to all costs and makes no profits from the sale of flowers. Everything is 100% helping Ukraine.
