Chernihiv destroyed by 70%

Chernihiv was destroyed by 70% after shelling and attacks by the Russian army, Vladyslav Atroshenko, the mayor of Chernihiv, said on the air of the national telethon.

“Our city resembles Bucha, and in some areas, it is already like Mariupol. People want to know how to live through until tomorrow,” he said.

He also emphasized the need for better defense of the city in the future.

“There is a concentration of Russian troops here on the border with Belarus. We want to know how the air defense systems will work, or the bombs will continue falling on our heads,” Atroshenko added.
