Cinema reopens in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv to support the economy and the spirit
“The state encourages businesses to work where possible. From Tuesday, March 15, 2022, Planeta Kino will try to work in Lviv,” co-owner of planetakino.ua Dmytro Derkach says on Facebook. Although war times seem not to be the time for entertainment, one of the biggest cinema networks in Ukraine is about to reopen in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv, flooded with internally displaced people. Cinema will work in a very limited mode with lower prices, so as not to earn profit but at least cover the utility bills, salaries and payments to distributors, what is more — to possibly distract some people from the war and bring them a glimpse of positive emotions.
