Civilian death toll in Ukraine is dozens of times higher than military

In the war that Russia has unleashed against Ukraine, the number of civilian casualties is dozens of times higher than military — this is real genocide, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said in an interview with Polish public broadcaster TVP.

“A huge number of tragic events are unfolding in Ukraine these days. This is actually a war against the Ukrainian people, this is a war against the democratic world. The number of civilian casualties is dozens of times greater than military casualties. This means that these are war crimes, these are crimes against humanity, this is genocide against Ukrainians,” Shmyhal stressed.
