Classical music performance took place in Kharkiv bomb shelter as a symbolic version of the international Kharkiv Music Festival
“For the past month, we have been living under the constant shelling of the occupiers but we have not lost faith. Today’s symbolic KharkivMusicFest proves this,” said Oleh Syniehubov, the Head of Kharkiv Military State Administration.
In war circumstances, organizers of KharkivMusicFest decided to hold an improvised version of the festival in a shelter to turn Kharkiv’s life for a couple of hours into a happy one like there is no war or missiles flying over the city.
KharkivMusicFest is an international classical music event that usually takes place in April. It brings together the best musicians of Ukraine and the world on one stage and marks the city of Kharkiv on the cultural map of the world.
