Cyberattack on Lviv: Russians stole and published city council files
First Deputy Mayor of Lviv Andrii Moskalenko announced on Facebook that the IT systems of the Lviv City Administration have been subject to one of the most massive attacks on cities in Ukraine since 1991.
“Besides missiles, Russia is also using the IT front. Besides the city management system, the aggressors wanted to receive our data. Despite all protection systems, part of the working files was stolen and published on the Russians’ Telegram channels.”
According to Moskalenko, the main aim of the attack on May 13, 2022, was to disable the city management system. “This is why they targeted the IT infrastructure and the city servers,” he add.
