Czech hockey fans got creative after officials banned the Ukrainian flag

Czech hockey fans showed solidarity with Ukraine during the 2022 Men’s World Championships despite the disapproval of the International Ice Hockey Federation.

A group of Czech supporters displayed a white poster imitating the flag of Ukraine during a game alongside two Czech flags adorned with 1968 and 2022 logos, a reference to the 1968 Prague Spring when Soviet Union soldiers invaded Czechoslovakia.
