Czech Senate recognizes Holodomor as genocide of Ukrainian people
The Czech Senate — the upper chamber of the Czech Parliament — recognizes Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. The corresponding decision was approved on Dec. 14, 2022.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy welcomed the decision of the Czech Republic’s Senate.
“I am grateful to my Czech friends for affirming the truth and restoring historical justice,” the Ukrainian President wrote on Twitter.
