Defender of Mariupol opens the Ukrainian Premier League match to remind about soldiers who are still in Russian captivity

Defender of Mariupol and border guard Vitaliy Pikovets, who was in Russian captivity, opened the Ukrainian Premier League match to remind about soldiers who are still held captive in Russian territory.
“With my presence, I want to remind Ukraine and the world that not all defenders of Mariupol, who left Azovstal a year ago, returned home from enemy captivity. We are still waiting! They are waiting!” Pikovets said.
Vitaliy Pikovets was captured by the Russians in May 2022, along with other defenders of Azovstal in Mariupol. In June 2022, he was released from captivity. After four medical operations last December, Pavlo returned to service.
