“Denmark firmly supports the work to investigate and prosecute those responsible for these attacks” Danish Foreign Minister visited war-torn towns in Kyiv region
The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark Jeppe Kofod arrived in Ukraine. He visited towns in Kyiv region that were destroyed by Russian soldiers.
“Horrible to witness the destructions here in the suburbs of Kyiv. Denmark firmly supports the work to investigate and prosecute those responsible for these attacks,” he wrote on Twitter.
Before that, Jeppe Kofod reopened Denmark’s embassy in Kyiv. “Reopening the Danish embassy is a strong symbol of Denmark’s support for Ukraine and the Ukrainian people. Our diplomatic staff has been working tirelessly on strengthening Danish-Ukrainian relations and helping both Danes and Ukrainians in the highly challenging situation following Russia’s invasion. Today, I am happy to announce that we are back in the heart of Kyiv,” says Foreign Minister Kofod.
