Despite the war, Ukrainian doctors managed to conduct 384 organ transplantations in 2022

Ukrainian doctors conducted 384 organ transplantations in 2022 — 20% more than in pre-war 2021, as the Ukrainian government reports. According to the statement, this indicates the ability of the domestic healthcare system to work during the war.

It is also important that the percentage of organ transplanting from deceased donors is gradually increasing: from 53.7% in 2021 to 55% in 2022.
