Ellie Goulding and Pianoboy sang together the Ukrainian song “Oh, there is a red viburnum in the meadow” at the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen

The world-famous British singer Ellie Goulding sang the song “Oh, there is a red viburnum in the meadow …” in Ukrainian together with Pianoboy frontman Dmytro Shurov.

Goulding arrived in Kyiv to attend the Summit of First Ladies and Gentlemen, organized by Ukraine’s President’s Spouse Olena Zelenska.

“A new unforgettable experience and challenge – to prepare “Red Viburnum” together with the famous British singer Ellie Goulding two hours before the performance. Both were worried, so the version turned out to be very intimate and gentle,” wrote Shurov on Instagram.

“Oh, there is a red viburnum in the meadow” is a Ukrainian patriotic song, which became widely popular after the start of the Russian full-scale invasion, when frontman of the Boombox band preformed it on the streets of war-torn Kyiv, it`s also known as “Oi u luzi chervona kalyna.”
