Estonia launches a state app “mRiik” based on the Ukrainian app “Diia”

At the Diia Reels event at the World Economic Forum, Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, and Vice Chancellor for Digital Development of Estonia, Luukas Kristian Ilves, presented the Estonian version of the Diia app. It is called mRiik.
It is the first case of such cooperation for Ukraine. mRiik has a very similar design to Diia and repeats the functionality. The testers will try out digital versions of ID cards, passports, and car documents, as well as access to various public services.
“The case of the Estonian app is important because it is the first. Because Estonia. Because friends. Because digitalization is the future,” Fedorov said in his post.
