EU agreed on new sanctions over Iranian drones in Ukraine

European Union members have agreed on new Iran sanctions over drone deliveries to Russia, informed the EU’s Czech presidency on October 20, 2022.

“EU states decided to freeze the assets of 3 individuals and 1 entity responsible for drone deliveries; the EU is also prepared to extend sanctions to 4 more Iranian entities that already featured in a previous sanctions list,” noted the Czech EU presidency.

The sanctions are to come into force today.
