EU launches training mission for 15,000 Ukrainian military

The EU launched the European Union Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine. The mission aims to enhance the military capability of the Ukrainian army to allow them to defend Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty and protect the civilian population.

According to the mission, up to 15,000 Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel will get training at multiple locations in the territory of EU member states.

The Mission Commander will be the Director of Military Planning and Conduct Capability, Vice Admiral Hervé Bléjean.
