EU suspends all duties on imports coming from Ukraine for one year

The European Union has officially suspended all duties on imports coming into the EU market from Ukraine to boost Ukraine’s economy affected by the Russian aggression, European Commission Spokesperson for Trade and Agriculture Miriam Garcia Ferrer said at a briefing in Brussels.

According to Miriam Garcia Ferrer, the Regulation that suspends all duties on imports coming into the EU from Ukraine was published in the Official Journal.

“It will enter into force tomorrow, June 4, 2022, and will apply until June 5, 2023,” Garcia Ferrer said.

In her words, the European Commission welcomes the swift adoption of these measures by the European Parliament and the European Council, following its proposal of April 27, 2022.
